Conflict is a natural part of the human experience.  We at Collaborative Solutions Mediation aid clients in resolving disputes with guidance, strategies, and facilitation services. 

Mediation as a process introduces a neutral third party to facilitate a discussion focused on finding a resolution that is built by those in disagreement.  Control of the process, the result, and the way forward remains in the hands of the client.  This creates a more satisfactory solution than judicial proceedings that put the control in the hand of the court.  

We are a veteran owned mediation firm guided by the common goals of the National Association for Community Mediation (NAFCM)(https://www.nafcm.org/).  We provide a forum for dispute resolution as early as possible in a conflict, an alternative to the judicial system at any stage of conflict, we initiate, facilitate, and educate for collaborative community relationships to create positive systemic change, and we engage in public awareness and educational activities about the values and practices of mediation.

Our mission is to help resolve conflict using a process that compassionately
focuses on the interests, needs, and future relationships of those in dispute. 

Meet Joseph

Hi, I’m Joseph!

I’m an mediator experienced in workplace, family, and community alternative dispute resolution.  I retired from the US Air Force after 25 years.  My military career in search and rescue was dedicated to ensuring someone’s worst day was not their last day.  I have taken a similar approach to mediation where I focus on compassion and collaboration to create a solution that encourages the best quality of life going forward.  

I grew up in upstate NY and attended Norwich University where I pursued a commission in the Air Force.  I graduated with a degree in journalism in 2000.  Serving in the Air Force for 24 years as a navigator and combat systems officer in search and rescue, I was a part of providing relief to other service members and communities affected by natural disasters.  

I founded Collaborative Solutions Mediation which was founded in July of 2024.
